COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A small earthquake has hit southeastern Ohio.
The quake struck just before 1 p.m. about 11 miles northwest of Athens.
"It looks to be an earthquake that's probably going to be in the 3-something magnitude range, but that's very preliminary. We haven't done the calculations," said Michael Hansen with the Ohio Seismic Network.
He says the quake wouldn't really be strong enough to do any structural damage.
"Somebody's plate may fall off the shelf or something, but you're not going to see structural damage at that size," he said.
Reports of feeling the quake were coming from as far away as Yellow Springs in western Ohio.
