Fraternity apologizes for remarks about football rival

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (WTVN) --The Louisiana State chapter of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity has apologized to the Kent State community for a banner that hung outside its house during Saturday's home game.

The banner read, “getting massacred is nothing new to Kent State”, a dig at the 1970 National Guard shootings on the Kent State campus that left four students dead.

The fraternity admits it was a poor attempt at humor and Sunday, a new banner was hanging outside the fraternity house, reading "we would like to apologize to Kent State for our inappropriate sign."
