COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A Gahanna man who shot and killed his wife because she wouldn't get out of bed to go car shopping with him was sentenced to life in prison.
Thomas Edwards, 61, told the judge he wished he could change places with his wife, Teresa, who was shot four times in the head last May.
Mrs. Edwards son, Brian Schwartz, said that his stepfather is an alcoholic. He doesn't believe Edwards, who told investigators he doesn't remember what happened because he was drunk.
Edwards could be paroled after 28 years.
