Joel Riley's 2013 President's Cup

  •
When I first got on the scene, I caught the Internationals figuring out 10 green.
  •
The Big Easy Ernie Els hit some chips... almost seemed like they were working on green speeds and just how fast that ball rolls down slope.
  •
Satisfied, Els made his way to 11.
  •
It's amazing to watch these guys rip the ball off the tee. I play alot of golf and my shots do not sound like that off the clubface.

Finally, Team USA! Tiger, Jordan Spieth, and Steve Stricker all laid up... and as you can see were within about five yards of each other. That's what you call Position A...

Matt Kuchar went for it and ended up in the crowd.
  •
Yeah, that green slopes away from you and there's water on the other side. Not easy, even for this year's Memorial Champ.
  •
Stricker is paired with 20 year old phenom Jordan Spieth... it's good to be the Strick.
  •
Tiger made the only birdie in the group... which bodes well for his match.

Kuchar hit a bunch of shots from this bunker to the back of 14 green. Wonder if he's planning on geting up and down during the Cup?

Adam Scott won this year's Masters and will be formidable for the Internationals. Of course his caddy Stevie would love to take it to Tiger and Team USA.
  •
He ssems to like the flight of this drive...

Fred Couples and Nick Price make their first round picks.

Davis Love III said everyone wants to play with Tiger and some of the old guys want to take Spieth under their wing. If you missed it, go to the podcast page to hear my one on one interview with DL.

Keegan Bradley is paired with Phil for day one and says they have great chemistry. He knows Lefty has his back if he makes a bad play...

Snedecker srated the season hot and with the Fed Ex Cup win last year is always a hot propsect.

Bill Haas may look to his dad for guidance... Jay is one of Capt Couples assistants.

  •
Jordan Spieth got the most attention of the players in the press room. He answered at least three times the questions of any other player.

  •
Zach Johnson may be the steadiest guy on Team USA. He finished strong and will likely be a staple eventhough he's battles the stomach flu this week.
